Hodel has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player around the world. He was a full-time member of the Minnesota Orchestra and the Dallas Brass. He has also performed live on the network radio program, A Prairie Home Companion, on Minnesota Public Radio. Hodel currently teaches trumpet and directs the Philharmonia Orchestra at St. Olaf College.
McWilliams debuted his performance career in Rachmaninov’s Third Piano Concerto with the University of Toronto’s Symphony Orchestra. He has played in over a dozen countries and has been an award winner at the competitions of Portogal, the Regina Symphony, the Canadian Music competitions and the Canadian National Competitive Festival of Music. He recently returned from a concert tour in China. He has also played frequently for radio, having performed live recitals and concertos on the CBC in Canada and the ABC in Australia. He joined the faculty of St. Olaf College in 2001 after having previously taught at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
